Several weeks ago I found a random, unmarked CD floating around my house and popped it into my car's cd player. I knew the songs, but not the voices singing the songs, and it was really good. I figured it was one of Chloe's broadway cds that she burns and leaves unmarked - she has a lot of those. (She is aware of so many broadway shows that I don't even know exist). I asked Sophie if she knew what it was and she said, Oh, it's the cast from Glee.
Now I know Glee is all the rage these days ... I'm just not in the habit of watching it. I have seen maybe two episodes in their entirity. And I would like to state, for the record, I think they push the limits of crossing the line with inappropriate content just a little too far. (Come on producers, you know you have a young audience, is some of that content really necessary????)
A few weeks ago they had Gwyneth Paltrow on as a substitute teacher for the Glee Club. I was SO planning on watching that one and then I completely spaced it and missed it. Dang. But guess what? You can catch whole episodes of Glee online. I did not know that. So this morning, when I thought I was just clicking on a link to see a clip from the show, it was the whole episode. (Shhh ... don't tell my boss I watched it at my desk - I didn't mean to.)
So as I watched Gwyneth as Holly Holiday, the perfect, cool, hip substitute teacher I thought, Can she be any cuter? I just love Gwyneth Paltrow. And that girl really can sing. And she really can dance. And she really does have incredible legs and held her own with all of those Glee youngsters. If you didn't see her, you must click here just to see the fabulous rendition of "Singing in the Rain." It looks like SO much fun! (I want to be Gwyneth Paltrow in Glee.)
And speaking of Glee ... have you heard any of their songs on their Christmas cd? I LOVE it!!! Even "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" (which would normally NOT be on my Christmas song playlist) is good, because it is done so well you can't help but like it.
And speaking of Mr. Grinch ... my brother, Drew, made himself a Grinch costume one Halloween. I think he could really give Jim Carey a run for his money - Drew became the Grinch. It was awesome. And Cindy Lou Who is pretty darn cute too. (Is my sister-in-law gorgeous, or what?)
Wow, his costume is really good! And I have never watched Glee..she is good though, I agree! ;D
ReplyDeleteOh how I love that girl...I don't watch Glee either but I did see her in this performance...is there anything she can't do!
ReplyDeleteShe is sooooo sweet I want to adopt her.
Hugs and love always. xoxoxo
I Love Glee....more the first season...but, still LoVe it to pieces! (yes, I agree on the inappropriate story lines!) They have had a few great stars on for just one show...and they are always good! But, I just love to watch those kids perform!
ReplyDeleteAnd I guessed that was Drew~cause for some reason I always look at your pictures before I read your stories...and that costume is AwEsOmE... but I still knew it was him! Maybe because I recognized it was the BeAuTiFuL Kim!
THEY LOOK ADORABLE! Cute post Pol =0)
